"Elefante's first album Vanity Fair is a great display of his versatility as a musician... Upon listening to several tracks from Vanity Fair, Elefante's musicianship becomes startlingly obvious... The compositions reflect an intellectual depth and creativity, yet retain their public appeal.  The solos from the musicians are all fantastic, and the band is tight... an absolute success."
- Joshua Musselwhite, Jazz Improv Magazine

"well-built ensemble, impressive soloists, splendid arrangements by Elefante...  Now that we know what all the fuss is about, we'd suggest that you find out for yourself. Elefante has put together a world-class ensemble, loaded with top-notch players, and given them high-grade music to perform. The album they've produced lives up to the outpouring of praise that preceded it."

- Jack Bowers, allaboutjazz.com

Here I Am is an eclectic mix of pop, big band, and modern small group jazz.  The album features not only the Big Band, but Joe's wife, Caryn, on vocals, and jazz greats Don Braden, Cecil Broooks III, Freddy Hendrix, Wayne Batchelor, and Matt King.  The title track was written by Joe and Caryn for last year's American Idol songwriting competition.  There are also four numbers featuring the Big Band, including revisits of "Danger" and "I Cry".  The remaining five tracks feature various combinations of small jazz groups playing energetic, modern, swinging jazz.
